Aluminum LED strip - assembly

Depending on the chosen LED strip, we will have a slightly different assembly path. Aluminum profiles for LED strip can be divided into those adapted for surface mounting, as well as those for concealed installation. Of course, they are available in furniture and architectural versions.

Let's start with the handles. These are plastic clips, which are mostly found in furniture profiles. These are inconspicuous products, which, however, turn out to be a very convenient solution during assembly. We will need two or three handles for one profile (depending on length). First, we have to fasten them with the screws at the assembly site of our slat. Then we move on to insert the profile, which when pressed into the clip, immediately slams. It is a very convenient solution, thanks to which we do not have to pierce through the profile, and in some time we will be able to dismantle it as quickly and easily.
Another very cheap and also useful product are end caps. They are available in both plastic and aluminum versions. The price of such a plug is only PLN 0.70, and only in the case of the aluminum version, we will have to reach a bit deeper into the wallet. End caps for aluminum profiles are available for practically every model (the LEDE and F profiles are the exception). They are a very convenient solution that should only be pressed into the profile to create the perfect whole.

Mounting profiles are another novelty introduced by Lumines at the end of 2017. They significantly expand the possibilities of installing LED profiles and also made aluminum strips not only used in home installations but also more industrial and office ones. Today, profiles in which we install 3 or 6 LED strips in parallel are increasingly used in industrial lighting. They are primarily an elegant replacement for old type fittings. Most of the architectural profiles are mounted using assembly profiles. Some of them like Sparo or Fari are necessary for mounting such a slat. The Talia and Largo assembly profiles are slightly different. They give us the ability to hide the power cord, the power supply itself, or also to quickly change the angle of illumination and the position of our lamp.

Strips for LED strips can also hang. The manufacturer took care not only that it was a permanent assembly, but also functional. Steel links to profiles are available in various lengths and they are also available in a conductive version. Then they have hidden wires that allow us to discreetly connect the LED light source to the power supply.
The mounting springs on which we fasten our strip operate on a very similar principle to those used in concealed panels and ceiling frames. What does it mean? Fast and efficient assembly.
LED profiles due to their length (from 1 to 3 meters) very often have to be combined in longer sections. In this case, the manufacturer also took care of us and gave us assembly connectors at our disposal. They are available in 4 different angles so that we can connect profiles straight or at different angles.

Aluminum profiles - types

As we have already mentioned, the Lumines led ducts are available in many different types, and in addition, each of them can be mounted in several ways. In addition, their manufacturer has made sure that the LED profiles fit into any interior, so they are created in 5 universal colors. Of course, you can cut profiles to size as well as match their color to our idea.

It's time to go to the types of profiles. Here we have various widths and sizes that can be divided into several subgroups.

Furniture profiles

The oldest profile models that were first available for sale and later only additional types were added. Among them, we find a not very large aluminum strip, most adapted to the assembly of one LED strip.
